Poppy’s Asian Tour: Korea
Thursday, May 4th Poppy’s Asian Tour lands in the Republic of Korea, which means Pop Bubble Tea has a new featured drink! We are excited to release BTS - BananaMilk Tea Special!
Here are the details...
Inspired by the very popular drink that can be found everywhere in Korea (as well as many other parts of Asia) we created our own Banana Milk recipe with real bananas as topping. This can be served with Assam black tea or with no tea and the included topping is fresh bananas (also pairs well with tapioca).
Fun fact: BTS is named after the infamous K Pop band of the same name and the singer, Jungkook's, love for banana milk!
As part of this stop on the tour Poppy also wants to promote Stonebowl Korean Restaurant. Stonebowl opened in 2012 at 1987 Hendersonville Rd, providing some of the first authentic Korean food to Asheville. The dishes of Stonebowl are based on traditional Korean food recipes. The Owner, Ivan Wang, worked and studied with Korean masters to develop his own recipes. ‘Fresh’ is the most important thing about their menu, and some popular dishes include... Pork Belly Stone Bowl, BulGoGi Stone Bowl, Soon Tofu JJi Gae, and Jab Chae. Poppy and all of us at Pop would like to encourage you to check them out this month!
